Our family comes from both Italian and Mexican heritage so to cook is in my blood. Did I always like to cook honestly no I hated cooking easier was better so take out was my first choice. My view on cooking has taken a 180 degree turn and I absolutely love to cook I wouldn’t have it any other way. In this day and age I know it’s uncommon for families to sit together for dinner or any other meal for that matter but in our house we hold true to this one tradition from decades past. And yes this does mean we pray before our meal, the TV is off, no electronics and we don’t leave the table until everyone is done. This is a time for our family to talk about our day and enjoy each others company. My dream is that this one tradition carries on when our five children have their own families.
